Business Program Manager | Data Centre
Location: Dublin - Hybrid
A global technology organisation is looking for a Business Program Manager to support high-impact, datacenter-centric operations and programmes in a fast-paced, always-on (24x7x365) environment.
This is a role for someone who is extremely comfortable with finances, can bring structure to ambiguity, influence across teams, and drive continuous improvement across operations, finance, and supplier management.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide thought leadership and SME support for datacenter-centric service delivery
- Solve complex challenges across remote and onsite operational teams
- Support quarterly spend reviews at site and regional level
- Track Maintenance & Repair activities and operational performance
- Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of continuous improvement, automation, and operational programmes
- Support supplier contract management (procurement engagement, terms negotiation, change orders, scorecards, business reviews)
- Support financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
- Capture “tribal knowledge,” standardise best practice, and drive adoption across field teams
- Improve agility by evolving processes, services, and operational SLAs
- Partner across datacenter field operations and global business operations to ensure alignment and execution
- Operate effectively and independently in a remote workplace setting
What we’re looking for:
- Operational planning & project management skills — structured execution, influencing without authority, and comfort with ambiguity
- Strong written and interpersonal communication — able to work with stakeholders and senior leaders
- Solid understanding of datacenter business objectives and the ability to balance trade-offs
- Understanding of IT/CE environments, operational processes, and industry best practices
- Flexibility and adaptability — able to anticipate change and adjust priorities quickly
- A collaborative mindset — contribute strategically and support team decisions
Required experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent experience supporting a 24x7x365 production environment
- OR 3+ years industry experience plus college coursework focused on change management
- 5+ years building tools/apps using: Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Dynamics
Nice to have:
- MBA or related advanced degree
- 6+ years finance/planning/analysis experience with strong analytical capability
- Exposure to or interest in supporting AI-related programmes
- Strong PowerPoint/Excel/Power BI capability and confidence presenting insights
- Driver-based cost analysis experience
- Comfortable working at multiple altitudes — from strategy to detailed execution
Contract Details:
- Competitive Rate
- Hybrid - 1 to 2 days onsite in Dublin
- Up to 18 Months Contract
