DevOps Network & Automation Engineer (Temp-to-Perm, 12 Months)
As a DevOps Network & Automation Engineer, you design, operate, and automate a large-scale global LAN and WAN environment. You combine strong networking expertise with an automation-first mindset, working with modern SD-LAN and SD-WAN technologies to improve stability, scalability, and standardisation across office locations, datacentres, and cloud environments.
You are comfortable in complex enterprise settings, work independently, proactively solve problems, and continuously improve network services through automation.
Responsibilities
Design, operate, and enhance global LAN and WAN services
Implement and optimise SD-Branch, network access control, and centralized management platforms
Build and maintain global LAN/WAN operational support capabilities
Develop and maintain network automation workflows using Python
Integrate systems and services via APIs
Test, validate, and safeguard automation reliability
Document network changes and architectural decisions
Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders
Mentor and support junior engineers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related field
Fluent in spoken and written English
Experience with DevOps, Agile, Lean, and ITIL practices
Strong experience with cloud-managed SD-LAN and SD-WAN environments
In-depth knowledge of switching, routing, and wireless networking
Hands-on experience with network authentication and access control solutions
Experience supporting global enterprise networks
Strong ownership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills
Required
Advanced Python for network automation
API integrations
Git version control
Azure DevOps pipelines
Basic SQL knowledge
Solid understanding of IP networking, DNS, and network architectures
