Senior Full-Stack Developer (PHP Focus)

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong backend expertise in PHP to join our growing engineering team. In this role you will work on high-impact features across our payment platform, from API development and backend services to modern frontend experiences. You'll work closely with product, design, and DevOps teams to build scalable, secure, and performant systems that support critical financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in PHP
• Build robust integrations with payment systems, e-commerce platforms, and third-party services
• Develop frontend features using modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Vue/Angular) as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new product features
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability across services
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code; participate in code reviews
• Mentor and guide junior developers; help enforce engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a strong customer-centric focus

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong backend development skills with PHP (core PHP + frameworks)
• Experience with popular PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony)
• Experience with CodeIgniter is a plus
• Proficiency with RESTful API design and implementation
• Frontend experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
• Deep understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), schema design, and optimization
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience in FinTech, payment gateways, or secure financial systems
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS compliance and security best practices for payment data
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Prior experience working on high-availability, high-throughput systems
