Engineering Project Manager – Modular Equipment Platform

I am supporting a global high-tech equipment manufacturer that is expanding a modular semiconductor equipment platform to meet increasing demand from tier-one customers. As part of this growth, the company is hiring several Engineering Project Managers to support customer-specific machine projects with international scope.

This role offers high visibility across engineering, R&D, and commercial teams, with direct exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies and global customers.

The Role

As Engineering Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end machine projects, acting as the central technical interface between customers, sales, and internal engineering teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing complete machine projects from specification through delivery
• Acting as the technical and project interface between customers, sales, applications, and R&D
• Translating customer-specific requirements into feasible technical solutions
• Supporting the development of new assemblies, modules, and design concepts
• Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders within a matrix organisation
• Balancing customer expectations with internal engineering, cost, and feasibility constraints
• Supporting quotation discussions, technical sales input, and supply chain alignment
• Managing project timelines, scope, quality, and risk
• Ensuring clear and consistent communication internally and with customers
• Contributing to continuous improvement across project execution and collaboration

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• A strong engineering background, ideally within semiconductor capital equipment or complex high-tech machinery
• Experience managing machine-based or module-based engineering projects
• Confidence working in customer-facing technical roles
• A solid understanding of machine capabilities, limitations, and upgrade feasibility
• Exposure to quotation processes, technical sales support, or supply chain discussions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
• A collaborative, diplomatic working style suited to matrix organisations
• Excellent English skills; additional languages are an advantage
