About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure to support our digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage secure, scalable Azure cloud solutions that enable innovation and operational efficiency across our energy services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy Azure-based cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement automation for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and PowerShell.
  • Optimize Azure resources for performance, cost efficiency, and sustainability goals.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for seamless deployments.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery within Azure environments.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce Azure security best practices, including identity management, encryption, and compliance with ISO 27001 and GDPR.
  • Support migration of legacy systems to Azure and ensure smooth integration with on-premise infrastructure.
  • Stay updated on Azure services and recommend improvements for scalability and resilience.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services (VMs, Storage, Networking, Azure Active Directory, Azure Kubernetes Service).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud governance in Azure.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
  • Swiss/EU/EFTA work authorization required.
