A Global Organisation are looking for a iOS Developer (Mid-level to Senior) to join their growing mobile function and take ownership of their native iOS platform. Hybrid working, modern tech, and the chance to make a real impact on a high-profile product are on offer.

This is a rare opportunity to join a company with a worldwide presence and drive a mobile product from early on. The app has been developed by a third party, and they’re looking for someone to take it forward, shape its future, and deliver a seamless, high-quality experience. You’ll collaborate closely with their Android Developer to ensure consistency across platforms, while also working with a broader development team spanning multiple locations.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team, working with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers. Your role will cover building and maintaining Swift / SwiftUI components, integrating APIs for payments, authentication, and notifications, supporting App Store submission, and driving technical excellence across the app lifecycle. You’ll have the freedom to propose improvements, implement best practices, and shape the mobile product strategy, with significant autonomy in this role.

They’re looking for someone who describes themselves as proactive and curious, and who is confident taking ownership of a product. You’ll enjoy identifying UX improvements, optimising performance, collaborating across teams, and mentoring others to help raise standards. If you have experience leading projects, coaching developers, or shaping mobile best practices, you’ll thrive in this role.

You’ll ideally have experience with:

  • Native iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI
  • Automation testing
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Working in a product environment

Desirable experience:

  • Leading project work / technical ownership of an app
  • Coaching and mentoring other developers

Their office is based just outside Glasgow, within walking distance of a local train station, and with onsite parking. They support hybrid working, with roughly three days per week onsite to collaborate with colleagues – so you’ll ideally live fairly local.

In return, they offer a competitive salary (happy to discuss prior to application), an annual bonus, training and development opportunities, and career progression – as the company has big plans for this new mobile function.

If you’re ready for a challenging role where you’ll be empowered to take ownership and directly shape a product used across multiple countries, apply now or contact Doug Paget at Cathcart Technology via LinkedIn.
