DevOps Engineer – Telecom OSS Specialists - Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitHub, Jenkins, or Ansible, Python, Bash, or Shell scripting, TM Forum (SID, eTOM, ODA)
Location: Helsinki, or remote Finland
Experience: 6+ Years
We are seeking experienced DevOps Engineers with deep expertise in Telecom Operations Support Systems (OSS). You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting mission-critical systems across Service Assurance, Fulfillment, Inventory, and Data Mediation. Whether your expertise lies in workflow orchestration, network discovery, or fault management, we have a track that matches your skills.
We are hiring specialists across the following four areas;
Track 1: Service Fulfilment & Activation (SAMI / Camunda)
- Core Skills: SAMI, PowerBuilder 12 (DataWindows, PBLs), Camunda (BPMN 2.0/DMN), and Tuxedo (C).
- Focus: Configure activation workflows (PON/FTTx, IP VPNs), order decomposition, and rollback logic.
- Integration: Sync with Order Management and Inventory systems (Ericsson Adaptive Inventory/Granite).
Track 2: Service Assurance & Fault Management (MyCom NetExpert / EXFO)
- Core Skills: MyCom NetExpert, EXFO Context, and alarm enrichment rules.
- Focus: Design root-cause workflows (RCA), topology-aware fault correlation, and service impact modeling for NOC/SOC transformation.
- Data: Expertise in data ingestion/normalization from NMS/EMS systems.
Track 3: Inventory Management (Ericsson Adaptive Inventory / Granite)
- Core Skills: Ericsson Adaptive Inventory (EAI), Ericsson Granite, Java, and JavaScript.
- Focus: Design Resource & Service Models (RSM/SSM), manage network discovery, and implement topology mapping.
- Databases: Proficiency in Oracle and PostgreSQL for inventory persistence.
Track 4: Data Mediation & Telemetry (Elastic Stack / Kafka)
- Core Skills: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK), Kafka/RabbitMQ, and RDF/SPARQL.
- Focus: Build event-driven pipelines, design real-time SLA indices, and enable linked data interoperability.
Core DevOps & Engineering Requirements
Across all roles, the successful candidate must possess:
- Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD: Proficiency in GitHub, Jenkins, or Ansible.
- Scripting: Strong skills in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Standards: Knowledge of TM Forum (SID, eTOM, ODA) and API standards (TMF640/641).
- Support: Ability to provide L2/L3 support, triage incidents, and deliver hotfixes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of networking protocols: MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and SDN.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Relevant Certifications: CKA, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or TM Forum certifications.
