About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Data Scientist who’s excited to turn data into insights and grow their career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is fully remote and open to candidates based in the UAE. You’ll work closely with senior data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to help solve real-world problems using data.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing structured and unstructured data
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and patterns
- Build and evaluate basic statistical and machine learning models
- Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate insights
- Support data-driven decision-making across different teams
- Document processes, methodologies, and findings clearly
- Continuously learn and apply new data science tools and techniques
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- 0–1 years of experience in data analysis or data science (internships count)
- Strong foundation in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R
- Basic understanding of statistics and machine learning concepts
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work remotely
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
- Knowledge of version control (Git)
- Personal projects, GitHub portfolio, or Kaggle experience
