Role Overview
The Senior System Engineer will lead the planning, implementation, and development of infrastructure projects, manage changes to Nol digital systems, support integration between internal and external platforms, and ensure compliance with RTA standards, security policies, and operational procedures. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, technical depth, and the ability to work closely with stakeholders and transport operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the infrastructure architecture for the Nol Automated Toll System.
- Review infrastructure effectiveness and ensure compatibility with evolving Authority requirements.
- Design system architectures and integrations across applications and infrastructure components.
- Review software requirements and business cases to ensure compliance with RTA standards and best practices.
- Maintain and support the infrastructure for Nol applications, resolving incidents affecting service continuity.
- Implement security controls, close vulnerabilities, and support internal and external security audits.
- Manage projects and initiatives in line with RTA PMO standards.
- Maintain and apply ISO 20000 IT service management capabilities.
- Conduct capacity planning, performance forecasting, and resource utilization analysis.
- Manage and maintain risk registers, mitigation plans, BIAs, and BCPs.
- Oversee backup, recovery processes, and quarterly performance reporting.
- Conduct periodic disaster recovery simulations to validate system readiness.
- Provide support on customer journey enhancement, service model design, and solution architecture.
- Analyze data to detect issues, identify fraud patterns, and recommend future improvements.
- Ensure strict adherence to RTA Information Security policies, guidelines, and incident reporting protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system engineering or related fields.
