Salary : €75,000 - € 90,000

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Engineer to join our team in Waterford. This is a key role within the engineering function, providing technical leadership, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant engineering solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and play a central role in mentoring junior engineers and shaping future capability within the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering projects from concept through to implementation
• Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support across operations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, quality, and safety standards
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, supporting knowledge sharing and development
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams
• Support equipment selection, validation, commissioning, and optimisation
• Contribute to strategic planning and long-term engineering roadmap

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Automation, or related discipline)
• Significant post-qualification experience in a similar senior or lead engineering role
• Strong technical knowledge with hands-on problem-solving ability
• Proven experience leading projects and influencing stakeholders
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative culture
• Experience in regulated or high-volume manufacturing environments is an advantage
