Data Analyst

Recoded is looking for a Consultant to join our practice. We are partnering with one of Melbourne's leading Financial Service organisations and looking for someone to work in the capacity of a Data Analyst - Investment Data to help contribute to the teams long term data and analytics goals.

This will be a hybrid working arrangement split between home and office, based in Melbourne CBD and initially a 6 month rolling contract.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Understands concepts to analyse and model data from relational databases using Query building software, Python, R or similar
• Knowledge in Business Intelligence Tools and Power BI
• Delivery and operational maintenance of Data Reporting and Visualisations with experience and knowledge of software such as Power BI
• Expertise in SQL and proficient in querying relationship databases
• Change support for data governance and data management practices.
• Knowledge and expertise in understanding data modelling and data marts for data sourcing and storage
• Familiarity with all MS Office products
• A highly analytical, collaborative team player with a strong work ethic
• Experience with Eagle BNY and State Street Data service providers (preferred)

• Experience in working with agile methodologies for change delivery
• Experience in data modelling, with a focus on designing and implementing data solutions using Snowflake Data Warehouse.

Skills:

• Experience in implementing Data & Analytics enterprise change, with a proven track record of successful delivery, and commitment to quality outcomes
• Experience in implementing and operationally supporting metadata mgmt. data catalogue technology solutions and data lineage capabilities
• Building trusted working relationships with the organisation to advance how we manage data, and enable business insights for decision making
• Experience in leading analysis & requirements definition, functional design, testing, implementation, and user training.
• Good stakeholder management skills with a solid record of achievement in building sustainable business partnerships with strategic partners.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms
• Manage self - show drive and motivation, and a commitment to learning
• Influence and negotiate - gain consensus and commitment from others and resolve issues and conflicts
• Demonstrate accountability - be responsible for own actions, adhere to policy and process and be proactive to manage risk
• Experience in the investment/fund management, including experience with BNY Mellon Eagle, SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, Thinkfolio, Aladdin, Calypso.
