C# Front-End Engineer – Utrecht – ALTEN Netherlands

The Position

We are looking for a skilled Medior C# Front-End Engineer to join our growing team in Utrecht. In this role, you will contribute to innovative, high-impact client projects across a range of industries, building user-focused, high-quality applications with modern .NET technologies.

As a C# Front-End Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining engaging and responsive front-end applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem
• Translating technical requirements and UI/UX designs into scalable, efficient code
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex front-end issues with creative solutions
• Writing clean, maintainable code with proper unit testing and peer code reviews
• Collaborating closely with back-end developers, designers, and product owners to deliver seamless user experiences
• (Optional but appreciated) Leveraging C++ knowledge for performance-critical front-end modules or native integration

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience in C#/.NET development, preferably with front-end focus
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture
• Experience with modern .NET frameworks and front-end tooling (Blazor, WPF, or similar)
• Knowledge of C++ is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills in English for collaboration with colleagues and clients
• Proactive, eager to learn, and open to exploring new technologies
