About The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a new segment of Addepar’s Web Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our existing design systems and web application architecture, working closely with a global team of over 50 contributors. Your primary focus will be on elevating the productivity and quality of our monolithic web codebase, ensuring it remains scalable, efficient, and accessible. The role centers around expanding and refining our UI platform, which is pivotal to Addepar’s growth strategy. You will work on build systems, web components, design token solutions, and designer tooling, adapting your skills to new frameworks and tools as needed. Your contributions will directly impact the development of a cohesive, high-performance user experience that is consistent, accessible, and optimized for a global audience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Addepar’s web platform and influence the broader financial technology ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript frameworks such as React, Ember.js, or similar
• Experience with build systems, web components, and design tokens
• Previous experience with Stencil, TailwindCSS, and Web Components is highly desirable
• Experience in building scalable systems, modeling financial data, or developing feature-rich user interfaces
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• A passion for establishing best practices and automating workflows to improve development efficiency

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product owners to deliver high-quality, engaging user experiences
• Contribute to building and maintaining a global product by developing reusable UI components and systems
• Implement accessible, performant interfaces that cater to a diverse, worldwide user base
• Support the adoption of common UI building blocks across the product engineering organization
• Advocate for best practices in code quality, design, and development processes
• Stay current with emerging frameworks, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve the platform
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and mentor junior team members
