Job Title: Estimation Engineer – E&I (Oil & Gas EPC)

Location: Doha Qatar

Duration: Permanent


Role Description

The Estimation Engineer – E&I will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tenders, and proposals in line with client requirements and company procedures. The role involves close coordination with clients, vendors, engineering, and commercial teams for EPC Oil & Gas projects, with a strong focus on offshore brownfield works.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed E&I cost estimates and tenders in accordance with client specifications, standards, and company formats.
  • Review and evaluate RFQs, ITTs, and tender documents for EPC Oil & Gas projects.
  • Liaise with clients and attend technical and commercial clarification meetings as required.
  • Initiate enquiries and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors as per company procedures.
  • Prepare prime cost estimates and submit to management for markup and final tender pricing.
  • Conduct risk analysis and prepare justifications for contingencies.
  • Support contract award activities, including initiation of subcontract packages and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate scope, quantities, and execution methodology.
  • Identify deviations from contract scope and assist in preparation of variation claims, if applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and statutory HSE regulations.
  • Support estimation activities for offshore brownfield projects, shutdowns, and modifications.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of total experience, with 5–7 years in proposal and tender estimation.
  • Mandatory experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects.
  • Offshore brownfield experience is mandatory.
  • Strong exposure to EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Commissioning) projects.
  • Experience in offshore shutdowns, maintenance, and modification works is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of international codes, standards, and client specifications.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
