Senior iOS Engineer (Freelance Contract) | Banking Domain | Amsterdam
We are engaging a Senior iOS Engineer (4–10 years) on a freelance contract to support a mission-critical banking platform within a highly regulated European environment. This is a long-term engagement with strong renewal potential.
Contract Details:
- Duration: Initial 6–12 months
- Renewal: Extendable every 6 months based on performance and delivery
- Engagement Model: Freelance / Contract
Technical Requirements (Must-Have)
- Proven delivery of production-grade iOS applications in complex environments
- Expert-level experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Cocoa Touch
- Strong command of concurrency (GCD, Swift Concurrency) and Xcode tooling
- Solid grounding in SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, and scalable mobile design
- Hands-on experience with REST/JSON and secure networking (HTTPS/TLS)
- Dependency management using Swift Package Manager and/or CocoaPods
- Strong Git-based workflows (branching strategies, peer reviews, CI alignment)
- Emphasis on secure coding practices and unit testing
Cloud & DevOps Exposure
- Integration with Azure mobile backends:
- App Service, Azure Functions, API Management, Storage
- Familiarity with mobile-specific cloud integration patterns
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
Domain Knowledge (Good to Have)
- Exposure to European banking regulations such as GDPR and PSD2
Professional Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Clear communication with cross-functional engineering and product teams
- Comfortable operating independently at senior engineering level

Rate Information
- Candidate Rate: €55–56 per hour (negotiable)
