Contract Opportunity: Senior Systems Engineer – Windows Client | Basel

We are currently supporting our client in Basel in their search for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Windows Client) for a long-term contract position. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a highly regulated, enterprise-scale IT environment.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in the design, implementation, and optimization of the Windows client infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for managing services across Platform Management, Application Management, and Systems Hardening to ensure endpoints meet internal standards and industry best practices.

Your work will directly support the business by overseeing the application lifecycle, driving the migration of on-prem processes to the cloud, and ensuring high standards in incident and change management. This role combines operational excellence with strategic project execution in a fast-paced, enterprise-grade IT landscape.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain a modern, secure endpoint management platform.

Optimize the end-user desktop experience across Windows clients.

Provide 3rd-level support, including performance monitoring and resolution of complex client-side issues.

Support core enterprise applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe), ensuring high availability and performance.

Manage mobile device platforms and integrate new cloud-based services (Intune, Entra ID, etc.).

Requirements:

Over 5 years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer

Deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Intune, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and SCCM.

Strong knowledge of Windows Autopilot, Conditional Access, Desktop Analytics, MAM, and GPOs.

Proven ability to manage Windows and iOS device policies using Microsoft Intune.
