About the Role
A UX Designer contract position is available within a specialist technology environment, supporting the delivery of internal operational tools. This role has been created due to increased workload and the need to strengthen UX capability within a small, high impact design function.
You will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, SMEs and end users to understand requirements and translate them into clear, practical user experience strategies and user interface designs. The role supports internal systems used in operational settings, requiring thoughtful design, strong stakeholder engagement and strong problem solving.
This is a hands on UX role where you will own themed pieces of work from brief through to delivery. You will engage stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct user testing where required, and produce UI designs that align with business requirements and acceptance criteria. You will also collaborate with delivery squads during implementation to refine designs as needed.
The role is Perth based, with three to four days per week in the office, with some flexibility.
You Should Have
• Around 3 to 5 years of commercial UX and UI design experience
• Over 2 years of hands on UI design experience using Figma

• Exposure to running workshops, with support from senior designers

• Initial 6 month contract with a high likelihood of extension
• Opportunity to work on complex internal systems
• Strong mentorship and support from senior designers and leadership
• Hands on ownership of meaningful UX and UI work
• Collaborative working environment with ongoing, challenging work
