Role Overview

As an EUC DevOps Engineer, you will be a key contributor within the End User Compute (EUC) team, driving innovation, automation, and efficiency across modern workplace technologies. This role combines EUC expertise with DevOps principles to transform legacy workspaces into secure, cloud-managed modern workspaces for a major Dutch retail organization.

You will act as a technical authority within EUC, focusing on Microsoft Intune–based modern workspace delivery, future mobile device management, and continuous improvement of user experience, security, and operational governance.

Key Responsibilities

EUC Engineering & Modern Workspace

Manage, develop, and optimize Intune-based modern workspace solutions for Windows, macOS, and future mobile devices.

Support the transition from legacy managed workspaces to cloud-managed modern workspaces, planned for 2025.

Enable flexible, secure, and agile workspace solutions while maintaining an excellent end-user experience.

Manage and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments for secure remote access.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

Work closely within the EUC team on sprint-based activities.

Identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas, proactively communicating with the EUC Product Owner.

Foster strong collaboration between EUC, Cloud, and DevOps teams to ensure alignment and synergy.

Ensure clear communication to meet evolving end-user and business needs.

DevOps & Automation

Integrate DevOps practices into EUC environments.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.

Streamline deployment of updates, applications, and improvements for faster time-to-value.

Develop automation using PowerShell and shell scripting to improve efficiency and reliability.

Incident Management & Support

Provide support during high-priority incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal business impact.

Apply EUC domain expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively.

Coordinate service calls and technical escalations with Microsoft when required.

Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

Develop and maintain real-time performance dashboards to monitor EUC health and performance.

Continuously enhance features and functionalities through iterative development.

Promote proactive issue detection, operational governance, and service reliability.

Essential Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

Strong expertise in Microsoft EUC operating systems and Apple macOS.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune and MECM for device management.

Expertise in application packaging, deployment, and testing for Windows and macOS.

Experience managing Android and iOS devices in enterprise environments.

Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

Proficiency in PowerShell and shell scripting for automation.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, or GitLab CI/CD.

Solid understanding of Azure Cloud platforms.

Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and troubleshooting.
