Contract Length: 6-month day-rate contract (with strong extension potential)

Location: Dublin City Centre

Working Model: Hybrid – 2 days onsite / 3 days remote

Role Overview

Our client, a large and well-established insurance organisation based in Dublin City Centre, is seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET / React / Azure Developer to join their technology team on an initial 6-month day-rate contract. This role will support the delivery of critical digital platforms and cloud-based solutions within a regulated enterprise environment.

The successful contractor will be a senior hands-on developer with strong backend expertise in .NET, modern frontend development using React, and proven experience delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance full stack applications using .NET (C#) and React
• Build, deploy and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
• Develop and support cloud-native solutions within Microsoft Azure
• Work closely with product owners, architects and delivery teams
• Contribute to technical design, best practices and architectural decisions
• Ensure high-quality code through testing, peer reviews and CI/CD pipelines
• Support and evolve existing enterprise systems in a large insurance environment

Required Experience & Skills

• 6+ years commercial software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET / C# (ASP.NET Core, Web API)
• Solid experience developing modern UIs using React
• Proven experience working in Microsoft Azure environments
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and relational databases
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and cloud security
• Background working in enterprise-scale or regulated environments (insurance or financial services preferred)

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery environments
• Prior insurance or financial services experience
