Job Title: Frontend Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (3 days onsite)
Duration: 1 year
What you'll do:
- Work with Designers and Product Managers to translate visual concepts into functional online experiences using standard HTML/CSS/JS best practices (mobile responsive, compatible with most web-browsers, industry-standard compliant and accessible)
- Build micro-apps and web pages using modern Javascript Frameworks like react QA, test and deploy changes on production environment
- Implement A/B tests and personalization experiences
- Work closely with teams in US central web and analytics teams ensuring the website is tagged properly for various tracking tools and third party integrations
- Integrate data from various back-end systems and sources
- Create internal tools, apps and pipelines to automate marketing tasks
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
- Be passionate about web performance and building sites for speed Provide technical expertise and ownership of technical issues
- Must be available to occasionally work after hours to deploy time-specific changes on the website
Must have:
- 3-5 years hands-on front-end design and development experience
- Leverage modern concepts of HTML/CSS/JS (including React, NextJS) best practices to improve user experience, website performance and accessibility
- Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines - Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
- Knowledge of CMS like Wordpress, Contentful, Adobe Experience Manager
- Experience in the design, development and deployment of websites
- Experience using wireframing and prototyping tools like Figma
- Familiar with W3C standards
- Proven success using and driving a repeatable, iterative software development methodology
- Familiar with SCRUM/Agile methodology
- Understanding of web architecture concepts (sessions, cache, cookies)
- Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
- Strong communication skills - Ability to transform complex technical information into something easier to understand
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of testing automation (unit, integration, interaction, visual regression) - Vitest, Jest, Playwright, Chromatic, Applitools, stc
- Experience using A/B testing tools such as Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target, etc
- Understanding of SEO from a content and technical perspective including meta tags and JSON+LD schema
- Experience of using various web analytics software such as G Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, etc
