The Home Buying team unlocks the dream of Home Ownership for Australians through end-to-end management of the Home Loan business, including distribution, acquisition, retention, customer experience, risk, change, and continuous improvement.

The Apply with Ease Crew looks after for the Origination to Settlement journey for customers who trust CBA for the Home Loan whether they choose to apply via a Broker, through our call centres, in our branches, or digital direct. The available position sits within the HOME (Home Origination Made Easy) App Experience squad; the team working on designing, developing and delivering the future of Home Loan origination.

Do work that matters

Reporting to a Chapter Lead and the Product Owner of HOME Application Experience, the Product Manager will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery and ongoing optimisations of the HOME Application Experience.

This role requires an understanding of customer behaviour, home lending process, problem solving techniques for ambiguous environments, and strong collaboration within a cross-functional team and wide stakeholder group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Co-Develop and execute strategies to enhance the HOME Application product experience, aligned with customer needs and business priorities.
  • Leverage customer data, feedback and insights to identify trends, break points, and opportunities to improve and continually evolve the end-to-end user experience that balance financial performance, customer outcomes, and business impact.
  • Support strategic prioritisation of initiatives within the squad to effectively manage risk, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement that champion the voice of the customer.
  • Manage operational risk incidents and implement control improvements where needed.
  • Navigate internal governance frameworks, preparing and presenting product updates to senior stakeholders and forums.
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across technology, risk, operations, and frontline teams..

We’re interested in hearing from people with:

  • Experience in product management, with a track record of driving impactful outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of the Home Buying journey and the regulatory environment, ideally with lending experience.
  • A passion and curiosity for customer experience, emerging technologies, and the potential of AI.
  • Solid capability in defining product vision, shaping roadmaps, and undertake continuous discovery.
  • Developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk issues and incident management
  • A data-driven mindset and a relentless focus on solving real customer problems.
