We are cooperating with a client that is a US-based company that owns a platform delivering unmatched value for contractors, providing greater control, deeper insights, and enhanced service to their customers. Together with the client, we are transitioning from a legacy monolithic PHP application to a modern, headless architecture powered by a REST API and a new React-based frontend.

Our team consists of more than 20 people, located in Ukraine and Poland: an architect, a lead, middle back-end and front-end engineers, QCs, BA, and PM.

IF YOU ARE

  • Experienced software engineer with 3+ years of experience in PHP and Laravel development
  • Strong in logical and functional decoupling
  • Knowledgeable of SOLID principles and design patterns
  • Adept at UML documentation, including its components and activities
  • Proficient in working with large-scale PHP platforms like Laravel
  • Familiar with developing APIs and designing scalable architectures
  • Competent in consuming and integrating with RESTful APIs
  • Knowledgeable in component-driven development, reusable UI patterns, and design systems
  • Committed to writing clean, maintainable code and following best practices
  • Skilled in optimizing both backend and frontend performance for high efficiency and scalability
  • Capable of maintaining business communication with clients in English
  • Passionate about using AI tools like GitHub Copilot/Cursor AI (would be a plus)


AND YOU WANT TO

  • Design and develop a scalable REST API using Laravel for the headless architecture
  • Refactor and extract functionality from the monolithic codebase into modular API services
  • Define API contracts, authentication, and data flow between the backend and the React frontend
  • Optimize database interactions with MySQL and RDS to ensure performance and scalability
  • Build a modern, high-performance React frontend for a headless API-powered platform
