Senior PHP Developer (MySQL)

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team.

You will design, build and scale the core infrastructure of our high-performance SaaS platform. If you are passionate about scalable backend development and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply

Note: Working hours are from 2 PM to 10 PM.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available backend applications and services
• Solve complex infrastructure challenges through code and provide post-release support
• Enhance DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline robustness
• Drive architectural decisions and communicate solutions to product owners and engineering leadership
• Conduct post-mortems to analyze incidents and prevent recurrence
• Champion continuous improvement across infrastructure and engineering practices
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to address business needs
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to become a domain expert

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend programming experience
• 2+ years of experience with PHP, Python, Go, Java, or similar languages
• 2+ years of experience with MySQL or similar databases
• Strong knowledge of database schema design, caching, and scalability
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and communication protocols (e.g., TCP, RPC)
• Experience with caching technologies (e.g., Redis, Memcached)
• Experience with CI/CD and containerization tools (e.g., Docker)
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Ability to analyze time and memory complexity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps practices and tooling
• Familiarity with full-stack observability tools (e.g., New Relic)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
