Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the ceremonies to deliver the project assigned to the team
- Guide the team on how to use Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices and values to meet customers demands
- Guide the team on how to get the most of self organization and achieve higher levels, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem solving and continuous improvement
- Facilitate getting the work done, support the team to remove roadblock
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Supporting the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
- Report on team’s progress
- Guide and support the team
- Must be onsite according to the policy (for now 3 days/week)
Critical Competencies:
- First level Scrum Master Certification
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years experience
- Excellent ability in facilitation, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Knowledge of Safe
- Knowledge of techniques required to properly operate Scrum and Kanban such as: Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc
- Focus on delivery of the sprints and features
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal players and vendors
- Must be autonomous and self motivated
- Ability to lead and motivate their team(s)
- Bilingual French and English (written and verbal) – if in MTL. Toronto is not mandatory.
- Experience in leading web teams and mobile teams
Preferred Competencies
- Experience in Scrum and Safe
- Applicable knowledge of development/native apps environment
- Applicable knowledge of web development
Assets:
- Knowledge of project management
- Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Kanban
- Driven attitude with positive mindset
