Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our client’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cisco networking technologies, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the IT team to integrate network services seamlessly with other systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Participate in project planning and execution, including network upgrades and migrations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and IT staff.
• Manage 70% BAU tasks and 30% project work, including hands-on involvement in MPLS to SD-WAN migration.

Requirements

• Minimum CCNA certification in Routing and Switching.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco technologies.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security technologies.
• Proven project experience, including network upgrades and migrations.
• Previous experience with MPLS to SD-WAN migration is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with exposure to both cloud and on-premises technologies.
• Willingness to travel interstate occasionally.

Desirable Qualifications

• CCNP certification in Routing and Switching.
• Experience with MPLS and other advanced networking technologies.
• Prior experience working in a healthcare environment.
