Your new role

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimising the organisation's network infrastructure. This is a hands‑on technical role, with approximately 70% BAU operational support and 30% project involvement, giving you a strong balance of stability and growth. Your responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing switches, routers, and firewalls; troubleshooting complex issues; producing clear network documentation; collaborating with IT teams on integration; contributing to upgrades and migrations; mentoring junior staff; and playing a key role in the organisation's MPLS to SD‑WAN migration.


What you'll need to succeed

Essential:

  • Minimum CCNA certification
  • 5+ years' experience as a Network Engineer with strong Cisco expertise
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security technologies
  • Experience in hybrid cloud/on‑prem environments
  • Exposure to upgrades, migrations, and multi‑site environments
  • Willingness to travel interstate occasionally
  • Experience with MPLS to SD‑WAN
Desirable:

  • CCNP certification
  • Experience with MPLS and advanced routing technologies
