We’re seeking a Mobile Application Architect (Freelance) to join our client’s mission-driven team in Brussels. This role is pivotal in elevating the digital experience for 15,000–20,000 users. You’ll be the architect behind a native mobile platform that empowers retailers, streamlines communication, and lays the groundwork for future innovation — from camera scanning to payment integrations. Your expertise will directly influence the value delivered to a nationwide network, driving both business outcomes and social impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead product management and functional analysis for a native mobile application (Android & iOS)
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories
• Define and support robust API integrations, including Dynamics 365, Adobe Experience Manager, and Entra ID B2C
• Work hands-on with Azure Integration Services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management)
• Champion IT security best practices throughout the mobile solution
• Contribute to both front-end and back-end mobile development
• Engage in basic UX/UI design to ensure intuitive user experiences
• Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement during acceptance testing
• Assess feasibility, complexity, and priorities for future features, shaping the product roadmap
• Implement fixes and enhancements to maximize value for end users

What We’re Looking For

• Expertise in mobile application architecture for both Android and iOS
• Proven experience with API integrations and Azure Integration Services
• Strong product management skills with a builder’s mindset
• Hands-on experience in UX/UI design and mobile development
• Track record of driving IT security and quality assurance in mobile projects
• Ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions and user stories
• Ownership mentality — you don’t just deliver, you elevate
• Recent, relevant hands-on experience at an expert level

• Mobile application architecture (Android & iOS)
