Our client, a growing professional services organization with approximately 130 employees, is seeking a HR Generalist to join their team and provide vital support to the HR Manager as they continue to expand.

Role Overview
The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support across the business. This role involves managing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting strategic HR initiatives. The role will also involve working with the HR software and the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects such as employee engagement and employer branding. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, an excellent communicator, and someone passionate about creating a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact for HR queries, providing timely support and guidance
- Support managers in interpreting and applying policies consistently across the business
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure a smooth candidate experience
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with company values and legal requirements
- Oversee processes such as probations, maternity leave, and other employee-related milestones
- Ensure data accuracy and optimize the system for improved HR operations
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee engagement and promote a positive workplace culture
- Support projects aimed at strengthening employer branding to attract and retain top talent
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contract management, absence tracking, and compliance documentation
- Administer key processes such as performance reviews, payroll inputs, and employee status changes
- Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and implementing automation to improve operational efficiency
- Act as the custodian of HR data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and other data protection standards
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a generalist capacity
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
- Proactive, approachable, and solutions-focused
- Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information
