We are supporting a leading private bank in Luxembourg that is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their Application Management team. This is a fully technical engineering role, working closely with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript developers to enhance test coverage across functional, integration, performance, and security testing.
You will report directly to the Software Development Lead and contribute to building and maintaining scalable, high-quality testing solutions in a modern software development environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions
- Improving functional, integration, performance, and security test coverage
- Working closely with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript developers
- Building and enhancing robust testing frameworks
- Testing REST APIs, microservices, and Web UI components
- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Supporting overall product quality throughout the software lifecycle
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- Around 4 years of professional experience in an SDET or similar role
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and Web UI testing
- Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, or PyTest
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage
- Fluent technical English
