Your Role:

• Collaborate closely within an agile development team distributed across multiple countries
• Design, estimate, develop, and maintain software solutions for a native Android application
• Contribute to the Customer Product Services organization by delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Android features and services for DKV customers
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure best practices in mobile development, performance optimization, and app security

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality native Android applications using Kotlin
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement user-centric features
• Ensure app reliability, performance, and responsiveness through clean architecture and efficient coding practices
• Integrate mobile applications with backend services via RESTful APIs and handle data synchronization
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests
• Monitor and address production issues, crashes, and performance bottlenecks
• Keep up to date with the latest Android SDKs, tools, and industry trends
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes, development standards, and documentation

Your Expertise:

• Proven experience in developing native Android applications using Kotlin
• Solid understanding of the Android SDK, Jetpack components (e.g., ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation), and modern architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture)
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and managing local data persistence (e.g., Room, DataStore)
• Familiar with coroutines, dependency injection and reactive programming paradigms
• Proficient in writing unit tests
• Comfortable using Git and working within CI/CD environments
• Knowledge of app performance optimization, memory management, and lifecycle best practices
• Understanding of Google Play Store processes, app signing, and release management
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, proactive attitude
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional, and distributed teams

Nice to Have / Plus:

• Experience with mobile payments, especially using HCE (Host Card Emulation)
• Integration with maps services (e.g., Google Maps, HERE Maps)
• Experience with turn-by-turn (TBT) navigation or guidance solutions
