Senior Golang Engineer – FinTech

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Golang Engineer to join a rapidly scaling fintech company in Dubai, building mission-critical payment and financial systems. This is a hands-on, on-site role for an engineer who has already worked in fintech and understands the realities of money movement, reliability, and scale.

You’ll play a key role in designing and owning backend systems that directly impact how money moves through the platform.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Core backend services written in Golang
• Payments, cards, and transaction processing systems
• High-throughput, low-latency APIs
• Event-driven and distributed architectures
• Integrations with banks, payment processors, and third-party financial providers
• Designing systems that are secure, fault-tolerant, and auditable

What We’re Looking For (Must-Have)

• Senior-level experience as a backend or platform engineer
• Strong production experience with Golang
• Previous experience working in FinTech (payments, cards, banking, trading, crypto, etc.)
• Deep understanding of:
• Distributed systems
• APIs and microservices
• Data consistency and failure handling
• Experience building systems where correctness and reliability are critical
• Comfortable working on-site in Dubai

Nice to Have

• Experience with payments, card processing, or money movement
• Event-driven systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub, SQS)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Exposure to compliance-heavy environments (PCI, KYC, AML)
