About The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer specializing in Digital Experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing Fidelity’s desktop applications, including platforms like Active Trader Pro®. You will work within autonomous, cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end features that deliver a seamless and engaging digital experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include translating business requirements into technical solutions, building scalable and high-performance desktop applications, and continuously improving our digital platforms. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects, contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, and develop your skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in desktop application development, particularly with .NET/C#
  • Strong understanding of HTTP-based APIs and networking concepts
  • Experience with application frameworks and microservices architecture
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and memory management for desktop applications
  • Experience with visual design, rapid prototyping, and UI/UX principles
  • Expertise in IDEs such as Visual Studio or WebStorm
  • Familiarity with unit testing and automation frameworks like MS Unit, NUnit, or xUnit
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, automated testing, and continuous delivery pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills and technical aptitude

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications and platforms supporting Fidelity’s digital presence
  • Build new features from concept to deployment, ensuring high quality and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver innovative solutions
  • Implement and optimize APIs, microservices, and backend integrations for desktop applications
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Utilize CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and minimize risk
  • Engage in rapid prototyping and visual design to validate ideas and gather user feedback
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation
  • Ensure applications meet performance, security, and usability standards
