About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Front-End Engineer to join our expanding team at Surefront. This role is ideal for a passionate and proactive individual who thrives in a startup environment, embracing the hustle of rapid development while maintaining a focus on scalable and sustainable technology. As a key member of our engineering leadership, you will collaborate closely with product teams and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and enhancements. Your responsibilities will include leading the development of our React/Redux single-page application, making architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, and mentoring less experienced engineers. This role offers the flexibility of remote work initially, with the potential to be based in California once circumstances permit, providing an excellent opportunity to shape the future of our platform and contribute to a fast-paced, innovative culture.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with React (or equivalent front-end frameworks)
- 1+ year in a leadership or senior technical role
- Strong proficiency in React with Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience with responsive design and implementation
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration
- Previous startup experience is a plus
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills
- California permanent resident or authorized to work in the US
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review and refine product requirements and specifications
- Lead the development of the front-end architecture for the React/Redux single-page application
- Make informed decisions on technical architecture, design patterns, and front-end libraries to ensure scalable and maintainable code
- Ensure comprehensive testing of the codebase to uphold quality standards
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement
- Coordinate effectively with other engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver features on time
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the team
- Stay updated with industry best practices and incorporate them into the development process
