What’s the role?
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join the Secure Network Services (SNS) team within our Technology division. This role is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of network services, ensuring the delivery of standardised, reliable, and secure solutions in alignment with established procedures, engineering standards, and organisational policies.
The position requires strong collaboration with key stakeholders across Group Technology to ensure the effective execution of ITIL‑aligned processes—including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and CVE‑based Vulnerability Management.
As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing complex technical escalations, driving root cause analysis, and ensuring operational excellence across the enterprise network environment. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, uphold compliance requirements, and support the stability, security, and performance of core network services.

As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing complex technical escalations, driving root cause analysis, and ensuring operational excellence across the enterprise network environment. What do I need?
Essential:
- Proven experience leading complex change programs in large-scale transformation projects, ideally across multiple business units, brands, divisions, and teams At least 3 years supporting complex networks within large organizations.
- Comprehensive expertise in Switching and Routing (BGP/OSPF, VXLAN, VTP), Firewalls (Juniper high-end SRX, FortiGate, NSX), Load Balancing (F5 – LTM, GTM, APM, ASM), Crypto PKI, and DNS.
- Advanced analytical skills with demonstrated hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving network issues.
- Demonstrated success in collaborative team settings and delivery roles, encompassing planning, implementation, change management, configuration, and build activities.
- Proven background in developing automation solutions that interface with various tools and platforms via APIs or scripting.
- Additional vendor certification such as CCNP or F5 301.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes—especially change management—and ServiceNow.
- Experience working with MongoDB, Jenkins, Terraform, SolarWinds, and Elastic.
- Knowledgeable in Python, specifically for automation and scripting tasks.
- experience using Ansible, as well as CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
- Relevant vendor certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or F5 201.
