Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Data Analyst to evaluate and analyze existing data pipelines and processes, primarily developed using Alteryx and manual workflows. The successful candidate will understand the current data flow from Azure Synapse and other Azure Data Stores into blended databases for complex dashboards. Their primary responsibility is to document the current state, identify inefficiencies, and create a detailed product backlog to support the transition to a modern, scalable data platform like Palantir Foundry or Databricks.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing data pipelines, workflows, and blending processes in Alteryx and manual operations.
• Understand data sourcing from Azure Synapse and Azure Data Stores to target systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to document current processes and workflows comprehensively.
• Identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities in the current system.
• Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog to guide transition planning.
• Support proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives for the new data platform.
• Work closely with Data Engineers and Architects to ensure alignment with NHS project goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst in data pipeline and ETL analysis projects.
• Expertise in Alteryx workflows and Azure Synapse/other Azure data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, blending, and dashboard systems.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms like Palantir Foundry and Databricks (preferred).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira).
