We are seeking a Scrum Master consultant for a 2 year contract position starting in either February or March, 2026. This is a hybrid position required between 2-3 days per week onsite in the downtown Toronto area.

This is for a data transformation project, migrating large data sets from multiple on-premise legacy environments to Cloud (Databricks), as well as transforming the data for consumption and building end-user reports (preferably to address regulatory requirements).

Experience:

• 7+ years of Scrum Master experience
• Strong Jira software experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ideally experience in large Data Migration project/s
• Scrum/Agile Certifications

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and lead all Scrum events, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Guide the team and the organization in adopting and following Agile principles and Scrum practices.
• Identify and remove impediments or blockers that slow down the team's progress.
• Serve as the bridge between the development team and other stakeholders, including the Product Owner.
• Continuously improve its processes and workflow through Agile methodologies.

Key skills and attributes:

• 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
• Deep knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and related best practices.
• A focus on serving the team, rather than traditional command-and-control management.
• The ability to coach, mentor, and facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
• Strong skills in identifying and resolving issues, managing risks, and handling problems that arise.
• Nice to have: Project exposure within the Risk Management business area.
• Data migration project experience as a Scrum Master
