2. Background and Purpose:

• Support the implementation of the Client Data Governance programme
• Contribute to thecompliance project
• Support the continuation of internal audit recommendations under the Data & Information Governance remit

3. Objectives of the Assignment:

• Support the maintenance of the Group Data Catalog (IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalogue
• Support Data Quality Monitoring and Exception Management activitie

4. Scope of Work and Key Tasks:

Data Catalog and Metadata Management:

• Perform data entry, correction, and data cleansing
• Maintain relationships between business terms, datasets, and reports
• Upload or migrate metadata using scripts and Excel macro‑enabled tools
• Automate manual metadata completion processes
• Validate metadata changes with business stakeholders
• Produce KPI‑based progress reports
• Report on glossary and catalog updates and adoption

Data Quality Monitoring and Exception Management:

• Monitor data quality dashboards
• Identify and report anomalies and outliers
• Extract and aggregate data quality metrics from multiple sources
• Compile statistics and reports in Excel
• Propose enhancements to dashboards and reporting processes

5. Required Profile:

• 1 × Business Analyst – Junior
• Junior: Minimum of 1 year of experience (including Traineeship)

Mandatory Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience with IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog or similar tools
• Understanding of metadata concepts (business terms, data lineage, data models)
• Knowledge of data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness)
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, data aggregation)
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP Business Objects)
• Experience tracking KPIs related to metadata management and data quality
• Ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Familiarity with a banking or investment environment
