Qualifications
Job Description
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in network engineering or equivalent role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or 8+ years equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of LAN implementation and support
- Proficiency with Cisco switches and LAN operations
- Solid experience with TCP/IP, Ethernet, OSPF, QoS, IP subnetting, VLANs, and switching
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Automation and scripting experience
- Familiarity with DNA Center (Catalyst Center)
- Wireless networking knowledge
Job Duties
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues, replacing defective components as needed
- Support LAN development and enhancements based on business needs
- Participate in on-call rotation for off-shift critical support
- Work with business partners and vendors to integrate network infrastructure
- Implement process improvements and follow IT Service Management standards
- Coordinate with firewall, VPN, wireless, and NAC teams to execute changes
- Provide technical guidance to business partners on LAN matters
