Frontend Developer

A major service transformation program is seeking an experienced Power Pages Developer with strong front‑end development expertise. This role is ideal for someone who excels in building high‑quality user interfaces, integrating front‑end code with Microsoft Power Platform technologies, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Role Responsibilities

Front-End Development & UI Ownership

• Lead the development of UI components using Liquid Templates, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Customise Power Pages/Power Apps Portals themes, layouts, and components to deliver a consistent, responsive, and accessible user experience.
• Build reusable custom Power Apps components for use across the portal.
• Ensure all UI development meets WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and aligns with the project’s design system.

Power Platform & Dataverse Integration

• Develop forms, workflows, and interactive components within Power Apps Portals to support business processes.
• Integrate Power Pages with Dataverse, Dynamics 365, and external systems using APIs and web services.
• Configure and manage Dataverse entities, forms, views, and relationships to support portal functionality.
• Implement and manage authentication mechanisms, security roles, and data access models.

Quality Assurance, Collaboration & Delivery

• Conduct thorough testing, validation, and troubleshooting of UI components.
• Collaborate closely with backend developers, D365 specialists, and UX designers to ensure seamless integration and consistent user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and performance optimisation activities.
• Maintain clear, accessible documentation for the wider project team.
• Manage development timelines and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the overall transformation program.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with Microsoft Power Apps Portals/Power Pages, including front‑end integration.
• Strong background in front-end development, with a portfolio demonstrating UI components and reusable design patterns.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid Templates, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with Power Automate (Flows).
• Solid understanding of Dataverse and data modelling.
• Knowledge of authentication, identity management, and security roles within Microsoft environments.
• Ability to integrate with external systems using RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Familiarity with design systems and maintaining UI consistency.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of Microsoft technologies and development tools.
