Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Functional Lead to drive the functional design and implementation of Data & Analytics modernization programs. The role sits at the intersection of business and technology, leading functional analysis activities and ensuring that modern data platforms deliver clear business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Functional Lead for Data & Analytics modernization initiatives

  • Lead functional analysis and solution design across data platforms, reporting, and analytics layers

  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, specifications, and target-state designs

  • Drive the functional design and implementation of data modernization projects for multiple clients

  • Coordinate and guide business analysts and functional analysts

  • Act as the main functional counterpart for architects, data engineers, and delivery teams

  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, functional design, and technical implementation

  • Support data product prioritization, backlog definition, and roadmap planning

  • Validate functional solutions during build and testing phases

  • Support change, adoption, and business readiness activities

Required Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business / Functional Analyst

  • Proven experience leading design and implementation of Data & Analytics modernization projects at two or more client organizations

  • Strong understanding of data platforms, data warehousing, BI, and analytics ecosystems

  • Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills

  • Ability to work in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Language Requirements (Mandatory)

  • Dutch (NL) or French (FR): Fluent

  • Second national language (FR or NL): Good working knowledge

  • English (EN): Professional working proficiency

Nice to Have

  • Experience in regulated environments (banking, insurance, public sector)

  • Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models

  • Experience with data governance, data quality, or data product operating models
