Machine Learning Engineer

Position Overview:

This role offers the flexibility to work from our vibrant office in Utrecht, Netherlands, or remotely from home. As part of our collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to share knowledge and work alongside other AI practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement scalable and efficient Machine Learning (ML) models.
• Contribute to our in-house code libraries following good software development principles and practices.
• Deploy our ML models in the cloud and monitor their performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into products.

Requirements:

• Great understanding of and experience in building ML (and deep learning) models.
• Excellent programming skills in Python; knowledge in SQL and Py/Spark is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps; CI/CD pipelines, model deployment and monitoring.
• Prior work using ML frameworks such as PyTorch (or Keras), Scikit-learn, pandas.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge in Large Language Models (LLMs), efficient ML (quantization, distillation etc.) and transfer learning and fine-tuning.
• Experience with Azure Services including Azure Datalake/Datahouse and Azure Databricks.
• Experience with Rest API.
• Familiarity with containerized (Docker) applications and Kubernetes.
