Would you like to join our team as a Senior Developer on our journey to develop VR’s long-distance transport digital services and shape meaningful experiences for travellers?
As a member of the VR Long-distance Digital Capabilities Web Development Team, you will build web applications used by over 700,000 monthly active users, as well as internal applications that make it all possible — all while working with modern technologies.
In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with backend teams, product owners, and designers, ensuring a seamless user experience and smooth integration between frontend and backend.
You will have the opportunity to influence impactful architectural decisions, establish and develop best practices, and explore emerging technologies to keep our products at the forefront of digital transformation.
Your product team will consist of highly experienced developers, alongside a Product Owner, a QA Specialist, and a Designer. In addition to your product team, you will benefit from the shared knowledge and expertise of our wider community of 20+ developers, all passionate about technology and development.

- Strong experience in Next.js (App Router), React, and TypeScript.
- Experience working with AWS cloud services and containerized solutions.
- Understanding of networking, DNS, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Growing experience using AI tools in day-to-day work.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with backend teams and designers.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to knowledge sharing and a strong feedback culture.
- Professional English proficiency is required.
- Good or native Finnish language skills make you a priority candidate.
- Swedish language skills are considered a plus.
