Role description

For one of our international clients, we are looking for a BMS Technical Project Manager to join a complex railway infrastructure project.

The resource will operate on-site in Riga, working alongside the existing project management and engineering team, providing technical guidance and hands-on support to BMS-related activities.

Main responsibilities

  • Support and guide the technical team on BMS-related activities within a complex railway infrastructure project.
  • Provide technical direction on BMS architecture, integration logics, and cause & effect matrices.
  • Facilitate coordination between BMS specialists and other disciplines (fire detection, smoke control, HVAC, electrical, SCADA).
  • Support system integrators and subcontractors in resolving technical issues on site.
  • Assist in the verification and validation of technical solutions, drawings, and documentation.
  • Contribute to the definition and clarification of priorities, dependencies, and integration steps.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities from a technical coordination perspective.
  • Act as a technical reference point for BMS topics for the on-site team.
  • Contribute to technical reporting and documentation updates in English.


Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Automation, or related fields).
  • Strong senior experience on BMS in complex infrastructures (railway stations, airports, hospitals, large public buildings).
  • Solid understanding of BMS logic, cause & effect matrices, and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience in construction sites and commissioning phases.
  • Ability to guide and support technical teams without formal managerial responsibility.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and on-site pragmatism.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.


Nice to have

  • Experience with SCADA environments and BMS–SCADA integration.
  • Knowledge of fire protection and smoke control systems integration.
  • Familiarity with IT/OT and cybersecurity principles in BMS environments.
  • Previous exposure to railway or other critical infrastructure projects.
