Role description

For one of our international clients, we are looking for a Project Manager on Data Network to join a complex railway infrastructure project.

The resource will operate on-site in Riga, working alongside the existing project management and engineering team, providing technical guidance and hands-on support on the data network serving the station digital subsystems.

Main responsibilities

  • Support and guide the technical team on data network–related activities within a complex railway infrastructure project.
  • Provide technical direction on network architecture for station subsystems (IT/OT), including segmentation, redundancy, and interfaces.
  • Support the integration of the data network with multiple subsystems such as BMS, fire detection, smoke control, CCTV, access control, public address, intercom, SCADA, and other digital systems.
  • Assist system integrators and subcontractors in resolving network-related issues on site.
  • Support verification and validation of network design, configurations, and implementation against project requirements.
  • Help clarify priorities, dependencies, and sequencing between network activities and subsystem integration.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and acceptance phases from a network technical coordination perspective.
  • Act as a technical reference point on site for data network topics.
  • Contribute to technical reporting and documentation updates in English.


Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
  • Strong senior experience on data networks in complex infrastructures (railway stations, airports, hospitals, large public buildings, critical infrastructures).
  • Solid understanding of IT/OT networks, including VLANs, redundancy, and high-availability concepts.
  • Experience supporting multi-vendor environments and coordinating with multiple subcontractors.
  • Hands-on experience in construction sites and commissioning phases.
  • Ability to guide and support technical teams without formal managerial responsibility.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and on-site pragmatism.
