As part of Retailer 1, our first-party retail organization, you’ll design B2B tools, services, and experiences that help 1,000+ suppliers thrive and scale, while meeting the needs of 13.7 million customers.
The biggest challenge
In a world where regulations are emerging faster than ever for marketplaces like ours, staying compliant is a constant challenge. With more than 50 million products on our platform, each one must meet a variety of regulations—think deforestation laws, energy labels, and more. Our mission? Collect the right information from suppliers to ensure compliance, while exploring how AI can help us scale.
Knowing your supplier (KYS) is critical. Compliance starts with trust and transparency, and that means having accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about every supplier we work with. But here’s the challenge: how do we collect this data in a way that feels effortless for suppliers, scales across thousands of accounts, and adapts as regulations evolve?
We’re not just talking about ticking boxes. We need a system that ensures product and supplier data is reliable, easy to maintain, and seamlessly integrated into our workflows. Think beyond forms and checklists—how can we create smart, intuitive solutions that automate where possible, guide suppliers through complex requirements, and keep everything current without constant manual intervention? Requirements
Our suppliers, and bol as a retailer, face strict compliance rules, data quality requirements, and operational hurdles. Your challenge is to turn these constraints into intuitive, user-friendly experiences. Some of the questions you’ll tackle:
As a key member of the Retailer 1 area – bol’s first‑party retail organization- you’ll help shape how suppliers work with bol and how bol creates value for them in return. You’ll join a team of passionate product designers who turn complex operational challenges into intuitive, trustworthy experiences for thousands of suppliers.
You start with curiosity: listening to supplier feedback, exploring research insights, and uncovering the real friction behind their workflows. You translate these insights into clear opportunities, crafting strategies that make adoption easy and show the value of change. With a balance of creativity and critical thinking, you help connect user desirability with business feasibility, because you’re not just designing interfaces, you’re building long‑term trust.
Collaborating closely with Product Designers, Analysts, Engineers, Product Managers, and internal operations teams, you’ll transform intricate requirements into seamless, logical journeys. You independently lead discovery sessions, map out systems and touchpoints, and design solutions that respect both supplier needs and customer expectations.
Through rapid prototyping, iterative testing, and data‑driven decision‑making, you’ll validate assumptions and refine experiences until they’re elegant, scalable, and ready for impact.
You’ll also contribute to our growing Design Community, bringing fresh ideas to improve our processes, patterns, and culture. Together, we’ll raise the bar for what compliant, yet frictionless UX can look like.
