This is a high-impact, high-responsibility environment — the application runs live on television, so reliability, stability, and data accuracy are critical.

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join a project supporting and enhancing a live broadcast application used by TV presenters during election coverage. This is a high-impact, high-responsibility environment — the application runs live on television, so reliability, stability, and data accuracy are critical.
Project Overview
- Live broadcast app used during election season
- Backend handled by an independent team with full ownership and responsibility
- Continuous updates, demos, and close collaboration with the client team
- Work aligned with US East Coast (EST/EDT) hours, 40–50 hours per week
- Node.js + TypeScript
- Redis (caching, TTL, pub/sub, queues, data structures)
- APIs (REST, potentially real-time integrations)
- Develop and maintain backend services for a mission-critical live broadcast application
- Build solutions focused on high reliability, fast iteration, and production stability
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency in real-time conditions
- Collaborate closely with the client team and provide transparent progress updates
- Write tests and maintain high-quality standards suitable for live production
- Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Redis
- Experience building systems where availability and correctness are critical
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage projects end-to-end
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Daily overlap with US East Coast working hours (EST/EDT)
- English at B2 level
