We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join a project supporting and enhancing a live broadcast application used by TV presenters during election coverage. This is a high-impact, high-responsibility environment — the application runs live on television, so reliability, stability, and data accuracy are critical.

Project Overview

• Live broadcast app used during election season
• Backend handled by an independent team with full ownership and responsibility
• Continuous updates, demos, and close collaboration with the client team
• Work aligned with US East Coast (EST/EDT) hours, 40–50 hours per week
  
  

Tech Stack (backend)

• Node.js + TypeScript
• Redis (caching, TTL, pub/sub, queues, data structures)
• APIs (REST, potentially real-time integrations)
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for a mission-critical live broadcast application
• Build solutions focused on high reliability, fast iteration, and production stability
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency in real-time conditions
• Collaborate closely with the client team and provide transparent progress updates
• Write tests and maintain high-quality standards suitable for live production
  
  

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with Redis
• Experience building systems where availability and correctness are critical
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage projects end-to-end
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
• Daily overlap with US East Coast working hours (EST/EDT)
• English at B2 level
