We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a secure, mission-critical network infrastructure. This role offers exposure to advanced networking, cloud, and containerized environments, working closely with engineering, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure high availability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational and maintenance support for network and systems infrastructure, ensuring reliability and service continuity.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to maintain optimal system performance.
- Support network expansions, upgrades, and new infrastructure deployments, including routers, switches, firewalls, virtual machines, and containerised platforms.
- Work with Engineering teams on new product and feature deployments, system enhancements, and technical issue resolution.
- Assist with pre-sales technical activities such as RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Perform fault isolation, troubleshooting, and incident resolution within defined service levels.
- Monitor network and system performance, performing analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Implement proactive and preventive measures to enhance performance, resilience, and security.
- Prepare operational and performance reports on network and equipment health.
- Document infrastructure, processes, and configurations to support operations, security assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to manage infrastructure and services effectively.
- Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in systems operations, cloud, or DevOps environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux-based systems, container technologies, and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
- Basic understanding of encryption and secure communication technologies.
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking and internet routing protocols.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to clearly document systems and investigate infrastructure for performance, security, and optimization opportunities.
- Good communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
