Role Overview
The Engineer will be responsible for developing embedded software for certified avionics systems used in trainer and business aircraft. The role involves the complete software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, verification, testing, and documentation in compliance with aerospace certification standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for certified avionics systems
- Perform code reviews and software analysis
- Support software design activities, including requirements definition and reviews
- Execute tests and simulations on host development environments and software verification rigs
- Prepare and maintain software documentation compliant with DO-178 standards
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in C and/or ADA programming languages
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies
Exposure to avionics communication protocols:
- ARINC 429, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, RS-232 / RS-422 / RS-485
Experience with real-time operating systems:
- VxWorks, LynxOS
Familiarity with development and testing tools:
- iData graphics library, LDRA, RapiCover
Good understanding of DO-178B/C certification standards
