We are looking for a Data Transmission Network Operator to strengthen a Network Operations Center (NOC) team responsible for ensuring a reliable, secure, and fault-tolerant communication network. This network supports critical services such as telephony, internet and WiFi connectivity, network security, remote operation and monitoring of high-voltage infrastructures, data collection, physical security, and communication with external partners.

In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the proper functioning of data transmission platforms, efficiently handling incidents, and coordinating maintenance and repair activities, whether planned or unplanned.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all data communication platforms
• Analyze, resolve, and escalate network incidents and issues, collaborating with internal experts and/or external partners when required
• Contact stakeholders in case of network incidents, technical problems, or planned works to gather additional information, confirm planning, and validate incident or problem resolution
• Respond to operational, planning, and project-related questions or requests from other teams, departments, or third parties
• Perform administrative tasks to maintain the quality of the platforms, including accurate documentation
• Actively contribute to internal and external process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team

Profile & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, ICT, Telecommunications, or equivalent relevant technical experience
• Solid practical and operational knowledge of modern LAN and WAN networks, including SDH, DWDM, IP/MPLS, VOIP, and their management systems
• Experience as a Helpdesk Officer or Network Operations Engineer is an asset
• Fluency in Dutch or French, with a good command of the other language
• Good working proficiency in English is mandatory
• Strong motivation to continuously learn and broaden technical expertise in data communication networks
• Ability to work independently and methodically, with a strong sense of responsibility, prioritization, and urgency
• Strong analytical and communication skills to accurately assess impacts and risks and communicate them when necessary
• Flexible, approachable, stress-resistant, and able to handle sudden interruptions due to urgent operational issues
